Having a telehealth consultation is a convenient and effective way to see a medical practitioner when you are too sick to travel to a clinic or simply looking for the convenience of receiving a script to your local pharmacy and even having it delivered to your home.
No. Due to medico-legal reasons we are unable to offer telehealth consultations to patients outside Australia.
Yes, as long as you are in Australia at the time of your appointment.
PhenixHealth is a mixed billing practice and requires out of pocket fee of $35 on all bookings for patients with a valid Medicare Card, which will be billed based on a time based MBS item rate.
Private bookings are available, fee for a private consultation is $48.

If you receive a prescription from our medical practitioner, it will be sent to your preferred pharmacy. You will receive an SMS to confirm it has been sent to the pharmacy.
We cannot email or send you your prescription directly. It will always be sent to a pharmacy to be dispensed.
Reception will contact you if you are yet to provide a preferred pharmacy.
Once provided by our medical practitioner your medical certificate will automatically be sent to your email address. Please also check your junk folder if not received in your inbox.

Video Consultations are paid for at the time of booking and are not eligible for a refund if you change your mind. If the doctor feels that your appointment is not suitable for a video conference, then at their discretion they can cancel the appointment and you will not be charged.
Should a Health Professional speak to you via video or phone then a charge will be applied. Refunds will be offered if a technical issue from the PhenixHealth software prevents a health professional from completing a consultation. No refund can be provided should you be unreachable via SMS/call/email.

Schedule 8 drugs – Schedule 8 Controlled Drug medications and drugs of addiction can not be prescribed via telehealth. This includes codeine, S8 drugs, opioids or sleeping tablets. It is inappropriate to prescribe any such medication in this manner due to the potential for addiction and misuse.
It is not possible for our Medical Practitioners to provide any S8 medications, please do not proceed to book a consultation if you are seeking such medication as your consultation fee with the Medical Practitioner will not be refunded.
Yes, you can choose whether or not to speak to a female or male medical practitioner. This is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.
